Not awkward at all?

I still am very convinced, that going through metal detectors has to be the most awkward event. "I need you take off all metal and electronic devices you have on you" Of course no one ever finds my pace maker joke humerous... So I begin taking off my earings and other jewelry and proceed to walk through...mhmm and of course I would forget my belt. Off with the belt! I feel like I'm undressing, and since it's just me and the security officer I can't help but giggle at this private show... and then back on with the belt! Geez, so personal, He didn't even ask for my name...
